Tokyobike was founded in 2002 in Yanaka, Tokyo, with a simple idea: if mountain bikes are for the mountains, Tokyobike is for Tokyo.

At a time when city travel relied on cars, trains, or basic “mama-chari” bikes, Tokyobike reimagined cycling as a way to connect places, slow down, and fully experience the city. Their bikes are designed not just for getting from A to B but to inspire a more mindful and enjoyable everyday journey.
