WALLPAPER GUIDE
We sell two types of Hibou wallpaper – non woven (paste the wall) and traditional paper (paste the paper).
The following designs are non woven: Stars, Portraits, Teepees, Raindrops, Swans, Starry Sky, Castles and Dragons
The following designs are traditional paper: Enchanted Wood, Cactus Cowboy, Gymkhana, Into the Wild and Secret Garden.
All Hibou wallpapers are printed in the UK using paper sustainably and ethically sourced from FSC and PEFC accredited suppliers.
RECOMMENDED WALLPAPER PASTES
We recommend the following pre-mixed wallpaper pastes for use with both Hibou non-woven and traditional paper wallpapers.
Cole and Son Tub Paste, Sanderson Elite Ready Mixed Paste, Little Greene Ready Mixed Wallpaper Adhesive, Harlequin Ready Mixed Adhesive Paste, Beeline Ready Mixed Vinyl Adhesive, Albany Super Smooth Wallcovering Adhesive (available from Brewers decorators stores in the UK).
HANGING INSTRUCTIONS
Instructions on how to hang the wallpaper are included on the reverse of the packaging label inside each wallpaper roll. It is important that these are followed carefully.
Hanging Non-Woven Wallpapers
Apply the wallpaper paste to the wall and then apply the wallpaper to the wall. This can be done directly from the roll or you can hang a cut length. Take care when matching the edges to ensure the pattern matches correctly.
Our non-woven wallpaper contains a certain amount of stretch to enable it to be easily manipulated into place once it’s applied to the wall. When smoothing out air bubbles, please take care not to apply too much downward pressure to the wallpaper as this may over stretch the wallpaper and adversely affect the pattern matching.
